A New Day Has Dawned - Announcing the TECH CARE ASSOCIATION - Join Us Today!

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the TECH CARE ASSOCIATION! The worlds first non-profit professional trade association for companies in the tech care industry, those that repair, refurbish and recycle tech products.

Tech Care Association
Today we officially launch our website at www.TechCareAssociation.org as we start accepting new members. Today we start working for you to make the industry that takes care of tech thrive! Today we all start to work together to help realize the long missed potential of the industry. Today is the beginning of something big!

My vision for our industry started many years ago but is realized today for us all. My vision is to help the industry grow to new heights -- or to put it in simple terms, WE WANT TO DOUBLE YOUR BUSINESS. Talk (or in this case type) is cheap. So let me layout some of our plans to you here and then you can check out the website and join us.

FIRST - ORGANIZE & COMMUNICATE CLEARLY

The problem is that most companies in our industry don't know much about what other companies are doing, nor do they know about many of the events that are going on -- yes, even in the times of COVID there are some events. We are committed to solving that issue, because...

Information is POWER!

From day one you will see Events & News on the front page of our site. Here you will see a curated list of events and news stories updated daily gathered from our sources and posted on the TCA website. Our social media will be filled with good solid industry information and members will receive important industry updates as well as event information in our newsletters. We will also be working with event organizers to offer discounted registration fees for our members.

Membership will payoff for you in the form of discounts too for industry events. We can manage events for our members if you would like by creating a unique registration page where we collect information and payment for you or you can simply use our site to help promote your event to all of our members. Large or small it's really easy for our members to promote events right from the member portal. Members are also free to submit news or press releases for publication and distribution on our social media accounts. Scientia Est Potentia!

SECOND - PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN

If knowledge is power then the lack of it just sucks and here's some hard truth for you all. Very few people know you exist. The vast majority of consumers have no idea that they can go into a local repair shop to get their device fixed (9 in 10 surveyed had no clue). Most companies don't even know what ITAD stands for much less how to contract business with you. And do you have any idea how many tech devices are sitting in desk drawers hoping to be recycled some day??!!

In late March 2021 we will be launching a public relations campaign to fix that -- hey, we're repair people and that's what we do, we fix things! We want to tell the world about this industry and the powerful ways we can help people take care of their tech. Our plan is to invest at least 20% of our revenue towards a comprehensive PR campaign to tell the world all about you!

Also, late in March 2021 we'll be launching our version of the WHERE TO REPAIR PUBLIC DIRECTORY a website that promises to deliver MORE BUSINESS for our awesome repair shop owners all over the country. How are we going to do that you ask? Well it involves some secret sauce that we can't share with you right now but it's going to be an incredible directory designed to promote all of the small business repair shops that are on the frontlines of our industry. In fact we love these hard working people so much we have special affordable membership rates just for them.

THIRD - TMYK WEBINARS

Again, knowledge is power and The More You Know the better, but learning can also be pretty fun if done right. So starting in late February 2021 we will be launching a series of webinars that will be informative, fun and will come with prizes. Members will give first dibs on the knowledge we're going to drop.

If there is one thing that COVID has taught us it's webinars. Right?! I've seen maybe a thousand, spoken for a bunch and taught in a hundred or so. We'll be delivering some new faces with lots of interesting ideas for you and your tech care business during the coming months. We might even be interviewing you for one of our episodes. All of which will be fun and entertaining. PLUS, did I mention that we'll be giving away random prizes to attendees. Keep an eye out! This is something you don't want to miss!

2021 IS GOING TO BE THE START OF SOMETHING GREAT

Here's the plan: During the first quarter of 2021 we will be focused on the tech repair segment of the industry. Tech Repair businesses are on the frontline and could be considered the heart and sole of our industry. Tech repair shops serve communities all across the country fixing cell phones, tablets, laptops, computers and all kinds of tech for their customers. Most of these devices flow into the refurbishing and recycling streams at some point.

Once we get into the second quarter of 2021 we will focus on companies in the tech reuse (refurbishing/reselling) segment of our industry. One of our biggest projects will be to connect smaller companies to partners that can help them grow and help connect more retail locations with quality product to sell. Then during the 3rd quarter we will turn our focus to the tech recycle segment of our industry. Exploring opportunities to connect more of our members with recycling firms in and around their business to provide more locations to recycle in their communities.
