But please no lions, tigers or bears -- snakes OK if properly caged.

A quick search on Foursquare or Yelp will get you started -- did I mention Five Guys is across the street? Maybe catch a movie at AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 - not the greatest theater on the planet but they do show movies, serve popcorn and have an arcade. Go catch a game at Summers Restaurant & Sports Bar especially if you like Soccer or Rugby - most likely the best place around to see those sports.
Walk the streets of Courthouse/Clarendon. There are lots of little shops to explore. Many parks nearby. It is truly a fun/intersting place to visit as seen in the Arlington Rap (seriously funny with almost 2 million hits) video. Yes, we do have a starbucks nearby.
